CCS/MSP430FR2033: Creating a Project Template with CCSv6 / v7

My customer is trying to create a Project Template and has tried the examples as described in the CCS wiki :-

They have not been able to make any template appear in the new project template list and are asking if something has changed in CCSv6 / v7 and if so where can they find the updated information.

 

If not do you have any ideas or recommendations on what they could be doing wrong.

    Bob,

    That wiki page was created for CCSv4, and although Project Templates still exist in CCSv6/v7 and are supported, the steps may need to be tweaked/adjusted to work with newer versions. And personally I have not tried out the steps myself in newer CCS versions.

    You may want to ask the customer to look into ProjectSpecs (which we are promoting in favor of Project Templates). It allows creation of new projects based on a project specification. More information available at this wiki: http://processors.wiki.ti.com/index.php/ProjectSpecs_in_CCS
