CCS/TMDSEVM6657: trouble with using mezz card XDS200

Part Number: TMDSEVM6657

Tool/software: Code Composer Studio

Hi,

I bought TMDSEV6657 module with mezzanine card XDS200. In the box i found the disc with some old version of CCS5. But I have been using CCS6  v.6.0.1.00040 for a long time (free license). My CCS6 does not support XDS200. How can I solve this problem?

Thank You.

  • Hi,

    >>My CCS6 does not support XDS200.

Interesting, CCSv6.0.1 fully supports XDS200 and it should be installed by default. What do you see in the Target Configuration Editor? The XDS200 Mezzanine card should show up as something similar to:

(it is possible yours mention the word "Emulator" instead of "Debug Probe")

Does your setup show anything different or does not have the XDS2xx at all? If so, it is possible your CCS setup is corrupt. I would then install a newer release on a separate directory and open a new workspace (several CCS releases can coexist under these conditions).

    Hope this helps,

    Rafael

  • Many thanks for Your help.

I first attempt to setup this connection as "Texas Instruments XDS2xx USB Debug Probe". Coonection tests were succefull, but after program loading CUT CCS6 wrotes, that I do not have license for using XDS200. Now I set "XDS2xx USB onboard debug probe", and everything became good.

    Alexandr.
  • Alexandr,

Just one detail: after CCSv7 was released, all v4, v5 and v6 releases of CCS have become free with no limitations.

  • Thank You again.

That was the good news for me. I already used this information.
