CCS/TMS320C5545: Invoke hex55 tool

Hello,

We are working on the 5545 Booster Pack and we are in the process of converting our .out file to a .bin file.

We reference this link, but we do not know how to invoke the Hex55 Tool.

Hello,
Which version of CCS are you using? Later versions of CCS have the hex tool options integrated into the CCS project properties so you can easily configure it.

Hello Ki,

I have version 6.2.0.

Here is what I see under project properties, I can't find the Hex55 Tool.

And the main reason I need to use the Hex55 Tool is because according to the wiki, in order to create a boot image it says to add the following command:

"hex55 -boot -v5505 -serial8 -b -o output_file_path_name input_file_path_name"

Select the 'Properties' option in the 'Projects' menu. This will open the project properties:

I found the Hex55 Tool, thank you Ki.

To input the command "hex55 -boot -v5505 -serial8 -b -o output_file_path_name input_file_path_name" and convert my project from .out to .bin, where would I upload that command line inside of the Hex55 Utility?

I would recommend enabling the correct options in the associated fields in the dialog. Many of the options you are looking for are under the Boot Table Options and Output Format Options. When you select the correct options, it will correctly populate the command-line flags
