Part Number: MSP430G2533

Tool/software: Code Composer Studio

Hello Team,

I am trying to install CCS7 with my new PC but it is not getting installed and giving me attached error. It is also showing to install some windows patch KB2999226. Please help me how i will get this patch and install CCS on my laptop.

  • The popup is warning you that CCS will not function properly without the patch. You can get the Windows update by downloading from here: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/confirmation.aspx?id=49093 or doing a windows update.  If CCS doesn't start up or if you killed off the installation above, please reinstall CCS in a clean folder.

  • Hi,

How are you applying the patch? Are you doing a windows update? Can you confirm that the offline update installer that you downloaded is the right one for your operating system?

If you read this article support.microsoft.com/.../update-for-universal-c-runtime-in-windows, you'll see that KB2999226 is applicable to windows 8.1 systems.

    Thanks,

    Danish

  • Hello Danish,

I am trying to install KB2999226  patch for windows 8.1 after downloading through Microsoft website.

but it massages "update is not applicable to computer"

      Please suggest further

  • Have you downloaded the update from here https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=49071?

Or else, can you try updating your windows version through the machine's update manager? That will ensure you get the right version.

  • Is the name of the binary you're using Windows8.1-KB2999226-x86.msu?
  • Yes I am using the same Binary..
