CCS/CC3200SDK: DebugServer.dll not found even though it exists

Hi I'm new to CCS, but I have used NetBeans with Microchip parts. I am trying to run the debugger but I am getting an error message that I cannot track down. After launching the debugger from the Debug/Run menu, I get an error dialog telling me that the DebugServer.dll can not be found. The dll exists in the directory listed in the error dialog. See attached debug log and screen shot of error dialog. Please give me guidance as to why it cannot find the dll. I am running CCS v6.1.2.00015. The target is a CC3200 on the Launchpad demo board.

    Those errors can be caused if one of the dependencies for DebugServer.dll can't be found. An install  / repair of the Microsoft Visual C++ redistributables can sometimes fix those errors. Failing that, Dependency Walker can be used to check for missing dependencies. See Debugger Initialization Error

    Also, which version of Windows are you using?

    Hi Chester,

    Thanks for your reply. I am running Windows 7. I did download the Dependency Walker you mentioned and it showed a lot of missing files for for Windows 8 even though I'm on Windows 7. I downloaded the 2015 redistribution pack but it made no difference. I then downloaded the CCSv7 and now everything seems to be fine, go figure.
