CCS/TMS320C6657: This project was created for a device not currently supported

Tool/software: Code Composer Studio

I just installed CCS Version 7.1.0.00016.

During the installation i selected blank to support my processor

When I imported existing project I got these 2 errors reported in the Problems tab.

1. File devices/C6657.xml does not exist. Was included by file C:/path to my project directory/TMS320C6657

2. This project was created for a device not currently supported: TMS320C66XX. TMS320C6657

When i look in general properties dialog it lists many C6000 processors. But not any C66xx series.

How do I get support for my processor? Do i need to use a previous version of CCS to get support?

I want to make a slight change to my initial problem description.
I wrote "During the installation i selected blank to support my processor" where blank == C6000 Power-Optimized DSP

So to be clear:
When I installed CCS Version 7.1.0.00016 I selected C6000 Power-Optimized DSP. I assumed that this would cover my target processor TMS320C6657.

I could be wrong, but power optimized could mean C674x. Yours C6657 is KeyStone, it is located together with K2 devices in the line below.

You are exactly right.
I should have checked "66AL2x multicore DSP + ARM Processors & C66x KeyStone multicore DSP".
Once I did everything worked fine.
