Hello to all,

I did a small research on how to use the printf function in the e2e forum but the

threads are rather confusing.

Moreover I am using the CCS v7 and I havent find any reference to that.

If anyone can give me a tip on how to print some variables on the monitor I will be gratefull

Have you seen the below link?

It was written for CCSv5 but the same concepts apply to later version (including CCSv7)

Yes I checked this out but I could not follow the instructions because the CCS v7 is a lot different and I could not find the options I had to change.

For CCS v7 with a v16.x.x TI MSP430 compiler installed the "Level of printf/scanf support required (--printf_support)" is now under CCS Build -> MSP430 Compiler -> Advanced Options -> Language Options :

So now I have a new problem.
Although I managed to set the config for the serial print for one project if I switch to another I can not print anything.
I do all the configs but after the debug the IO console does not appear anywhre.
Any ideas why?
