CCS/CCSTUDIO: Installer freezes on macOS.

Installation freezes on macOS 10.12.4. I'm using an offline installer of CCS v7.1.0.00016. Please see logs in the attached archive.

Hi,
Could you try unzipping the offline installer in a folder like $HOME before trying it? Make sure the installation directory is empty before trying, as there could be files left over from the hung installation.

Hi!
Offline installer was unzipped in my desktop folder before. I tried to use home folder and got the same result.
My steps before installing(installation dir is default - "/Applications/ti"):
- run /Applications/ti/ccsv7/uninstall_ccs.app
- remore /Applications/ti
- remove /tmp/bitrock_installer.log
- remove directory /tmp/ccs_***(some digits, looks like hash or UUID)

Hi Oleh,
From the logs it looks like the installer (ccs_setup_7.1.0.00016.app) is being run from a temporary folder /private/var/folders/66/5rwvhpl179vbqvvmx38qsrhc0000gn/T/AppTranslocation/5E946F79-6291-43D2-B78A-8B39C3745A9A/d. I would expect to see it running from $HOME/CCS7.1.0.00016_osx. Do you have some setting on your machine that runs .app binaries from a temporary folder? The installer expects the folders featurerepo and baserepo to be alongside the ccs_setup_7.1.0.00016.app for it to run in offline mode, otherwise it looks for components on the web server, which is what is happening in your case.

Sorry for a long delay. I tried to run it from terminal, result difference a little. As you can see I am running it directly from my home folder.
As for as I now I did not make any changes in application running process... But I am going to check it.
Also you can find logs in the attached file.

It looks like I found the problem.

macOS Sierra introduces a new security feature called "Gatekeeper Path Randomization" (or "app translocation", as it's called on the API level).

Finally I found the solution. One just need to run
"xattr -r -d com.apple.quarantine ccs_setup_7.1.0.00016.app"
