Compiler "segmentation fault" in CCS v3.3 with Window 7-32bit

Have you tried replacing code gen tools v5.0.0 with a newer version? It may be that the issue has been fixed in a newer release. The latest stream is 5.2.x and the latest version on that stream is 5.2.7. You can download and replace your exisiting version with an updated version of codegen tools and re-try the build.

If the segmentation fault still occurs with the newer versions, could you attach a reproducible test case that duplicates the issue?

Whatever this problem is, it is clearly different from the one with cl2000 discussed in this other thread http://e2e.ti.com/support/development_tools/compiler/f/343/t/3497.aspx .   In this case the assembler asm2000 is crashing.  Please add -k to your build so the compiler will not delete the assembly file d_SpeedController.asm.  Then post that file here, along with the exact build options you are using.

I could compile with no errors after I replaced (again) the file cl2000.exe, but now when I make version I compile with the file "timake.exe" so maybe I should replace also this file.

Where should I take different version of the file timake.exe?

Sorry, I can not replace the version of code generation.

See below, I could compile, but now when we make a firmware by batch file, we compile by "timake.exe", and nothing happen with this command now.

I suspect something is wrong with your new laptop, or the installation of Windows 7.  I don't know how else to explain all the differences in behavior you are seeing.

I don't think that I have problem with my laptop. Repacing the file "cl2000.exe" was suggested in one of the posts here, and it works. But I also compile outside the debugger with the file "timake.exe" and this file does not respond. I also run "Dosrun.bat" but it did not help.

My PC OS is Windows7 , and I've setup CCS3.3 and c2000 code generation tools5.0.2&5.1.2 ...

The same error occurs when I use  5.0.2 or 5.1.2...the error is as follows:

INTERNAL ERROR: C:\Program Files\C2000 Code Generation Tools 5.0.2\bin\asm2000.exe experienced a segmentation fault while

                processing section .text file C:\Users\entec\AppData\Local\Temp\0698411 line 6010

This is a serious problem.  Please contact Customer

Support with this message and a copy of the input file

and help us to continue to make the tools more robust.

*Everything is good when I run project using CCS3.3 in other PCs which are setupped  the same OS and CCS drivers with same methods.

Maybe you should try a higer version of the code generation tool ,such as "C2000 Code Generation Tools v6.0.0B1"
