Hi ,

I followed this thread : 

But no success , the ccs starts downloading MSP430 compiler 4.1 , but crashes midway ?

Is there a link to download offline installation file for MSP430 compiler 4.1  ????

I am using CCS ver5.1.1

    You can get the 4.4.8 compiler here:
    software-dl.ti.com/.../download.htm

    I will see if we can provide a link to 4.1.x.

    I tried installing the 4.1.9 compiler from within my CCSv5.5 and that worked ok. I don't have a 5.1 installation to try. In 5.5 it did ask me to confirm the signature while downloading. It could be that 5.1 doesn't like the digital signature.

    I found a machine with CCSv5.1.1 and I see the same error that you do when installing the 4.1.9 compiler. I also tried 4.1.8 and 4.1.0 with the same results. CCSv5.1.1 is not able to handle the signature. CCSv5.5 and later are fine.

    Are you able to update to CCSv5.5? If not I can prepare a package.

    I have tried installing CCS ver 5.5 as well with offline installer , it too spite out some error and the installation process was not complete ????

    please do send me the MSP430 compiler 4.1.9 .

    Ahmed,

    I have sent a private message with the link. When you run the installer if you install under C:\ti then CCS should discover the compiler automatically. If it does not you can point CCSv5.1.1 to it from the Preferences dialog. Window -> Preferences. Then go to Code Composer Studio -> Build -> Compilers in the tree on the left.
