CCS/66AK2G02: Viewing peripheral registers in CCS debug

Hi,

We're porting existing S/W to the K2G EVM for bench marking purposes. Debugging the system using CCS, however, only the Core registers are available in the registers view. Having looked around at other E2E posts there seem to be a general lack of processor register definition files from TI.

Can anyone confirm if the 66AK2G02 DSP register XML have been done? If so, how do I get it and pull it into the CCS debugger?

Which version of CCS are you running?

In CCSv7.1.0 this is what I see:

However if I run the CCSv7.2.0 beta I see:

So the files exist.

I went back and did an update check in CCSv7.1.0. It showed an update for KeyStone 2 device support that matches the version in my 7.2.0 install. I installed this. After doing that I see the registers:

Hi,

The latest release of Keystone 2 device support package (1.1.9) added DSP register view. You can update your copy of CCS by going to menu Help --> Check for Updates.

Hi Desouza,

I've installed the Keystone II device support for the recommended CCS for the K2G EVM (6.2) and I can now see the registers.
