CCS/CC2640R2F-Q1: CCS V7 Linux Install hangs....glibc 2.25 the culrprit?

I am also interested in this since downgrading glibc/libc is not something I can do on my development machine. There are some work-arounds using chroot and of course VMs, but these are heavy duty solutions.

I gave up. I'm going with gcc using my own cmake scripts based on makefiles from examples.

However, I did manage to start the CCS by installing it on VM first and copying the files then. Worked fine until CCS suggested an update. Now the update process hangs. That's why I left it. Besides, I prefer CLion anyway...

Building on the great work referenced in this thread, I got some stuff packaged for Arch Linux: CCS 7.2 (ccstudio), CGT ARM compiler 5.2.9 (ti-cgt-arm), and BLE SDK 2.2.1 (ti-ble-sdk). PKGBUILDs are in AUR and built binary packages are in this pacman repo (recommended, because downloading from TI and building takes a long time):

Tested end-to-end: install packages, open CCS, finish installation of XDC and TI-RTOS components, import cc2650lp/simple_broadcaster (so far I've only patched this one example project to correctly import and build), build, flash onto CC2650 LP, receive BLE packets from the board.

While it does build, the example projects in the BLE SDK seem to not be designed for easy import-and-modify workflow... This might be helpful (I did not try it): github.com/.../cc26xx-ble-stack-example

Known issues: CCS process does not terminate after exit from CCS. So, killall -9 ccstudio. Symptoms are similar to the installer hanging (pehaps glibc-2.25 problem showing up for CCS itself?).
