Hi,

We are currently working with a TMS320C28346 Delfino chip and using the TMS320C28x v15.12.5 LTS compiler. 

I am looking for the documentation corresponding to the v15.12 version of the compiler in pdf. I found here : http://www.ti.com/lit/ug/spru514m/spru514m.pdf  the last version of the documentation which is the v17.3.0 STS. Since the v17.3 is not an LTS we are not considering moving to that particular compiler version.

I would prefer having the right documentation version since it is written here http://processors.wiki.ti.com/index.php/Compiler_Version_Numbers_and_What_They_Mean that "Releases that vary in YY.MM can contain very different features or capability." The v17.3 compiler may have new features not included in the v15.12.

    The TI compiler help available in Code Composer Studio can be updated to contain the older manuals.  The process is similar to updating the compiler, as described in this video, but instead of expanding the entry for TI Compiler Updates, you expand the entries for TI Compiler Help or TI Compiler Help Updates.  Is that a good enough solution?

    If you really need the PDF manual instead, there is no public download available for the older manuals.  To get you by for now, I attach that older compiler manual to this post.

    Thank you George. That's perfectly what I needed.

    I have updated Code Composer to contain the older manuals. Personnaly, I prefer using the pdf file so I also took it.

    Hi George,

    I have another question regarding compilers documentation.
    Is there the same type of documentation for TMS320F28x chips ? Or should I refer to the TMS320C28x documentation ?

    We are using the same C2000 compiler version for both targets: v15.12.5 LTS.

    This is outside my expertise.  We compiler experts pay close attention to the core CPU architecture (instructions, registers, pipeline, etc), and very little attention to all the rest.  My understanding is everything you need is available on the device page for TMS320C28346.  If you still have questions, please start a new thread in the C2000 device forum.
