CCSv4.1.3.00038 Installer hang during emulation install

I tried installing CCSv4.1.3.00038 today and the installer wizard stopped progressing during the emulation installation phase. I waited about 20min and finally killed the installer. The install log is attached.

This issue was handled offline but the resolution was to delete the InstallJammer registry folder for CCSv4. See the below url for details:

I have what appears to be the same problem while attempting to install CCS 4.1.3.38. I've tried removing the CCSv4 folder from the InstallJammer registry folder but it still crashes my system at the end of installing TI Emulation with the last message (approximately) "Cleaning up install". Running on Windows XP with SP 3.

Same here, the update to 4.1.3 is hanging up after it says "cleaning up", however, I do not have the InstallJammer Registry directory.

I searched the wiki for the location of the install logs and it says they are in: CCSv4: 'TI_CCSv4_Install.log' located in C:\Program Files\InstallJammer Registry\ccsv4\D….\?

However, I do not have the path C:\Program Files\InstallJammer Registry

CCSV4 is installed in C:\Program Files\Texas Instruments\ccsv4

I did a search on install.log and found one at:

C:\Program Files\Texas Instruments\ccsv4\eclipse\configuration\org.eclipse.update

I attached that file

My colleague had the same problem today but he had the InstallJammer Registry directory. He had "show hidden files" selected :-)

I told him to delete the InstallJAmmer Registry\ccsv4 directory and his update installed.

So I enabled "show hiddel files" and the InstallJammer Registry appeared.

I deleted the ccsv4 directory and I was able to finish the install. :-)

Hi All,

I am facing a similar issue. My system gets hanged during installation (more specifically during cleaning up install task). I deleted the entire "InstallJammer Registry" folder. But still my system got hanged during installation. Can anyone help?
