CCS/TMS320F2810: CCS7.1 : For -> Flash2810_API_V210.lib <- : Linker Warnings: 16002-D: build attribute vendor section TI missing : ....... compatibility cannot be determined

Part Number: TMS320F2810
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: CONTROLSUITE

Tool/software: Code Composer Studio

Hi ,

Migrating my project  to CCS7.1 from CCS3.3  in that process CCS7.1 compiler throws   "Linker Warnings: 16002-D: build attribute vendor section TI missing ...... compatibility cannot be    determined"

For following Library files.

1.Flash2810_API_V210.lib   : build date  Aug-02-2005

2.IQmath.lib   : v160              : build date  Aug-16-2013

I could understand from the forum discussions that this due to these libraries were compiled with older compilers.

Please provide the link to newer library versions. so that we can avoid these warnings in CCS7.1

Eshwaran

  • Hi Eshwaran,
If you have not does so already, please see the post referenced below:
    e2e.ti.com/.../234921

As mentioned, you can choose to ignore the warning or get newer version of the libraries. If you wish the latter, I would recommend checking in the C2000 forum to see if a new version of the libraries are available.

    Thanks

  • Hi Ki,

thanks , i understand the options as below.

    1. Disable the select warnings so that they are not shown while compiling.
    2. Get the latest compiler compiled libraries:
    •  Is there any repository available at the TI website to download the latest libraries? for

                   1.Flash2810_API_V210.lib   and

                   2.IQmath.lib   : v160

    • Aren't they part of TI release ? (Even if i find  it in forum discussion,  i may need to download the libraries  from TI website  -right?)

  • Normally, such C2000 libraries would come from controlSUITE. However, you device is pretty old so I'm not sure if controlSUITE has support for your device. It is best to ask the folks in the C2000 forum as they are most familiar with the device and the associated software packages.

    Thanks
