CCS: installed C6000 CGT not available

I'm going around in circles trying to make the C6000 Code Generation Tools available in a fresh CCS7 install.

I've tried installing from within CCS and via a separate download, for both the v8.2.0 and v7.4.21 builds of the CGT.

But the C6000 options are never present in the "target" drop-downs when creating a new project, and the compilers list (in preferences) refuses to find the new CGT tools when I hit "refresh"

I'm on Mac OS 10.11.6, CCS7.1.0.00016

I'm dead in the water right now - any ideas???

Unfortunately CCS on Mac does not support C6000. The Mac version only supports our MCU and connectivity devices. We have compilers on Mac for C6000 but not the complete toolchain.

wow. there's half a day down the drain.

how about a little warning along with the "Mac" C6000 CGT download???

I have changed the note on the CCS download to be in red.
