ti compiler benchmarks available

Hi all,

I was looking for a TI C2000 benchmark preferably compared to (KEIL) ARM C compiler or GNU CPP, but didn't find anything. Is this information availble somewhere?

Best regards

Andreas

  • Hi Andreas,

As far as I know C2000 is targeted only by TI compiler so if you are making benchmarks, it is also a benchmark of the target. Thus it becomes comparing apples and oranges.

  • Hi Mitja

Thanks for your response - I am aware that such a comparison is a little bit delicate, thus let me explain my case. We have a communication FW running on an ARM core. As TI C2000 family is becoming more and more powerful, we are thinking about porting this FW to C2000. To have a clue if the existing code (HAL excluded) would fit the C2000 targets (code size and runtime - wise) I would like to have the benchmark. If you have other suggestions how to estimate if the port could be successful let me know...

    Best regards

    Andreas

  • Sorry, but I'm not aware of anyone at TI having that kind of a benchmark data.

    Thanks and regards,
