Linux/RM46L852: Uniflash in VirtualBox with Ubuntu 16.04 does not work

Part Number: RM46L852
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: UNIFLASH,

Tool/software: Linux

Hi :)

i have trouble using Uniflash under Ubuntu 16.04 (in VirtualBox).

Its not possible to flash anything using CCS directly or Uniflash 4.3 or the newest Uniflash version.

I also tried with loadti and got the following error

***** DSS Generic Loader *****

Does anyone have an idea??

  • Hello Malte,

I am moving this post to our CCS forum so our tools experts can provide more targeted support related to Uniflash.
  • Hello,
Can you attach the "test.out" file that you are trying to load to your RM46L852 target?

    Thanks
    ki
  • Hi :)

    sorry for the late reply...

i have to ask whether its possible but i dont thing it depends on the *.out file
it seems as if uniflash is not possible to stop the target and then there is some output like: "GEL Expression: OnChildRunning()"
    interestingly the usb-uart is working...

i will to make some minimum *.out file without any sensitive data how can i upload it??

would be really cool if there is any way to get it running :)

    Best regards,

    Malte
  • Even the *.out file with the soley the main function it is still not possible to flash... and I tried the VMWare virtual machine without success!!
So i really suspect that it is some TI specific problem
