Hello,

I was following the SimpleLink Academy Training for TI-RTOS Basics and on Task 2 it says that after pressing 'Pause' I need to "open the Execution Analysis menu by going to Tools → RTOS Analyzer → Execution Analysis." It also notes "Note: you be asked to do a one-time setup."

After I go to Tools and click on "RTOS Analyzer" there was a pop-up asking to setup, but after clicking OK nothing happened and the "RTOS Analyzer" disappeared. What would you recommend?

Hi Victor,

What version of CCS are you using?

You can try searching for Execution Analysis in the Quick Access (top right part of the CCS vindow). I guess you should also try to restart CCS.

Marie,

I am using Version: 7.1.0.00016, also I tried using the Quick Access and couldn't find it either - once I restart CCS it shows up again, but after following the step in Task 2 of the TI-RTOS Basics it goes away again.

Victor - there were a bunch of usability issues with the various analysis tools in CCSv7.0 and 7.1. We (partially) addressed them in 7.2.0. Could you give that version a try?

I downloaded what I thought was CCS v7.2 from the CCS Wiki, when I downloaded the file name was "ccs_setup_7.2.0.00013.exe" but the version that showed after installing it is Version: 7.1.0.00016 - I have also tried "Checking for an Update" but at this point no update becomes available when I check.

How do I actually get CCS v7.2?

That is very odd. I just downloaded the same executable and used it to install CCS. It correctly installed CCSv7.2.0.00013.

Not sure what happened in your case. Try the off-line installer to be sure. Make sure you install in a clean new directory.
