CCS: CCS 7.2 fails to install

The CCS 7.2 (online and offline) installer fails to install under certain circumstances in Windows 10 64Bit. Error message: CCS_ERROR: Installer failed to install jre correctly.

One I actually ran into was the following problem: My TMP/TEMP - Path contains a space and the installer does not escape this. The workaround is to create a new TMP - Folder in a path not containing spaces and to redirect the TMP - Folder via the environment variables.

It cost me around 2 hours to find this, yeah should have read the install logs at first and not try to google this problem, but please fix this problem for the future.

I can reproduce this. It looks like a problem with the zip utility that we use. I can see the properly quoted path being passed to 7za.exe but the error message it returns refers only to the part of the path before the quote. We will need to resolve this or swap out zip utilities. We recently switched to 7za for better compression.

I have filed CCDSK-2702 to track this. Thank you for reporting

Please provide detail on where the "TMP/TEMP" path can be edited. I am a WIN10 64bit user and have lost much time over this.

You're right. FIX THIS PLEASE. Just spent over an hour trying to figure out why the installer couldn't install a jre. Or at least write some helpful log messages.

Alexis this issue is resolved in CCSv7.3.0 which is due out this month.

thanks for asking this , and much more thanks for updating with the workaround , the video in the comments is useful helped me to make new directory for TEMP folder , IT WORKED !
