CCS/CCSTUDIO-C2000: Window > Show View > Error Log is not available in Code Composer Studio

Hi,

I just installed Code Composer Studio 7.2.0.00013 and tried to debug my code. I get a message: "An error has occured. See error log for more details. com/ti/dvt/energytrace/views/Dashboard"

However, if I try to open the Error log with 'Window > Show View' I can not find Error log. If I open the .log file I can not make anything of the lines written there. Why is 'Error log' not available in the Window > Show View menu?

Hello Michiel,
We no longer include the PDE with our CCS Eclipse bundle. Hence the Error log view is unavailable.

As for your original error, can you try using a new, clean workspace folder?

Hi Ki,

thank you for your reply.

I just copied the project to my projects directory so I don't know what I can do to use a newer or cleaner workspace folder.

Is it possible to download the PDE somewhere and install it, because I don't see how I can debug my programs now? The .log files are unreadable for me.

Steps #2 and #3 are some suggestions to clean your environment:
processors.wiki.ti.com/.../Troubleshooting_CCSv7

You can install PDE to your CCS environment if you wish.
http://www.eclipse.org/pde/

CCSv7 is based off Eclipse 4.6

However it is likely more helpful for you to provide the logs so we can analyze.
