Dear,

after I have updated my 32-bit linux, I can not open CCS v6.

I found some solutions on this forum that work for CCS v7 (using: >> export JAVA_TOOL_OPTIONS=-Xss1280k) but it does not work for my  case (CCS v6). Could you provide me the solution (fix) for this problem?

    Hello Tihomir,
    There was a very recent linux update made available which addresses the issue (I updated my linux laptop just a few hours ago). Can you check for updates again and see if there is an update available?

    Dear ki,
    thanks for trying to help. I have tried the last linux (I use Trisquel) update, didn't help. So I've decided to reinstall CCSv6.1.0, and after uninstall I can not install again the same CCSv6.1.0 ! Installing procedure starts normal and after registering to com.ti.ccstudio.installer.linux.. it says "unable to download 6.1.0.00104.zip. Trying again." Then install procedure fails! I am connected to WEB. But this is offline installer, so why it should try to download 6.1.0.00104.zip..
    Could you help me to resolve these problems?

    I hope that after CCSv6 reinstall, CCS could take into account the last linux update. Now I don't have my old CCS v6 version, which worked.

    Are you installing in a new (empty) folder or are you installing over your existing installation? You need to make sure you install in a new clean folder

    I have tried a couple of times to install in a new different folders, but without help.

    Every time the same story as I described in my previous post.

    HI,

    I have the same problem, I cannot understand why this happen, one morning i tried to open CCS, i couldn't and try to remove and load again and again and again...

    i tried like upstairs way , i have not found any solutions, 

    what can I do?

    Hi,

    Texas Instruments support does not work well for many problems. They didn't give me solution for this. I lost 4 days trying all reasonable ideas to make CCSv.6.0.1 to work, and finally I did it.

    How?

    1. I installed an application Grub Customizer to easy set the previous version of Linux kernel (i.e. kernel version when CCS worked before linux update).

    2. Install CCS in a new folder, but using WEB installer, not offline installer (which worked when I first time installed CCS). Offline installer tries to download some packages from  web, and crashes when it can not do it... !!

    It worked to me, I had luck, and it seems to me that no better solution from TI support is provided yet.

    with your answer I become happy and sad, really both of them.

    Honestly, happy because there is solution and sad  because if not success,

    Also I tried actual version of CCS6 and it worked but the projects were older version and i had another problems.

    Problems come new problems. (is there any idiom like that or i can own this :))
