CCS: CCS6 CANNOT USE BREAKPOINTS

Hi,

i'm using CCS6 for my project. It runs in debug mode, but when i define a breakpoint, the 'little blue ball' at the start of the line appears 'slashed' and program flow doesn't break.

Any idea?

Hi!
Icon slashed means breakpoint wasn't set as expected. Perhaps you may want to see the difference between software and hardware breakpoints. JFYI, with C6600 I have to put hardware breakpoint to have it really halted. That is start debug, right click on margin, breakpoints, add hardware breakpoint. This is a way it works for me, but we know nothing about your target and environment.

Can you let us know the following:
-what HostOS are you using
-what device are you trying to debug
-what is the debug probe being used
-what specific version of CCS is used (help -> About)

Paulo,

It may be that "skip all breakpoints" has been set. Can you go to the View menu and select breakpoints. This will open the breakpoints view. Check the button shown in the screen capture below circled in red. If this button is enabled then all breakpoints will be skipped. Click on it to re-enable breakpoints.

When I click it again then I see:
