CCS/TCI6638K2K: Getting Started Initializer has encountered a problem. An internal error has occurred . Failed to initialize IPC. Remote process doesn't respond. Occurs with every new workspace.

CCS version 7.1.00016 . Previous upgrades haven't fixed the issue, but I see version 7.2 is available now so will try that and post followup after trying it for a while to see if the problem returns.

JTAG over internal XDS2xx USB onboard used by debugger to communicate with board. Device family is set to C6000. Variant is set to "select or type filter text" and "TCI6638K2K". Thank you for your support !

While beginning/attempting to do the update from within CCS, I see a message which may relate to the issue, so including it here: See how it's trying to refer to a ccsv5 update dir. maybe due to a registry setting or a control file somewhere on my PC. Unable to read repository at software-dl.ti.com/.../.
software-dl.ti.com/.../ is not a valid repository location.

Upgrade to 7.2 did seem to eliminate the problem. The issue would not repro afterwards. I'll watch for the issue over the next days/weeks and will update this thread with anything interesting/relevant.
