CCS/TMS320F2808: Migration from CCS3.3 --> CCS7.x

Hi Team,

I have a customer who wants to migrate their CCS3.3 project to a Windows 10 system. CCS3.3 does not seem to be supported on Win10, so I recommended CCS7. They are using a couple of other parts in their toolchain and wanted to check compatilbility before migrating. The toolchain consists of:

DSP/BIOS 5.33.05

Code generation tools V4.1.4 or5.2.1

SIGNUM JtagJet C2000

hex2000.exe

Could you advise about the compatibility of the above components with CCS7.x and Win10? Do any of them need to be changed / upgraded?

CCSv3 -> CCSv7 is quite a move.

Note that not only should they move to BIOS 5.4, but if if they want RTA support, they should move to CCSv5. The one issue with using CCSv5 is that it is not officially supported on Windows 10. However, I have been successful in getting CCSv5.5 running on Windows 10. But there is not official support. If they do not care about RTA, then they can go to using CCSv7
