Hi,

I'm starting developing sw on F280049, using c2000ware. As i try to import examples code, I've got this error:

Could you suggest a a way to solve? Java version 8 update 45, jdk 1.7.0_45, jre7.

What version of CCS are you using?
What does it say when you click on the Details button?

Sorry,
I'm using CCS 6.1.1.
On Details I get
"Error in project-spec:
java.lang.NullPointerException"

Enrico,

C2000Ware is quite new. I imported the same project into CCSv7.2.0 and it worked fine. I am going to ask a co-worker with CCSv6.1.1 to give it a try to see what results they get. It is possible that it is not compatible with CCSv6.1.1.

Enrico,

There are a couple of issues with using this project in CCSv6.1.1. The first is that F280049M is not supported in CCSv6.1.1. The second is that the project uses a much newer compiler than what is in CCSv6.1.1. The second issue is easily corrected by installing the required compiler (16.9.1) but the first issue is not easily addressed in CCSv6.1.1. It would be best if you could install a newer version of CCS.

Thank you, I've just installed CCS7. Seems I'm having issues with programmer (backhawk usb2000 is not supported (??) and XDS100v2 integrated into the controlCARD is not working).

Any known issues about that?

The XDS100v2 on the controlCARD should be fine. Make sure that the switch on the card is set to enable the XDS100v2. It is shown in figure 2 here:

What error are you getting with the XDS100?

As far as the USB2000 I know that one has been discontinued but I believe Blackhawk still supports it. However the F280049M has a CLA on it so it may be too new for the USB2000. Do you see any Blackhawk probes listed when you try to select a target configuration?

Just a remark: despite the USB2000 is discontinued, it supports the CLA.

Hi JohnS ,
I checked on Blackhawk and the USB2000 is not dismissed , you can buy : store.blackhawk-dsp.com/12208.html
plus I m on CCS7 and I can use and select USB2000 on many C28x , but only on F280049 it states "cannot find a proper driver " :please could you help and confirm what is really available on USB2000 and latest CCS7 ?

If you are getting a message that says "cannot find proper driver" that means that the probe does not support the device

The Blackhawk website does list the USB2000 as discontinued

The link you sent is for a USB-200 which is a completely different product. The USB2000 was a XDS510 based debug probe that only supported C2000 devices. The USB-200 is based off of the newer XDS200 design.
