Hello,
Host OS: Windows 7 64-bit, Service Pack 1
Code Composer Studio Version: 7.0.0.00043
chip: TMS320F28075
debug probe: XDS200 USB
I am not able to connect to the running target without suspending it.
The setting Program/Memory Load Options-> Connection Options -> "Halt the target on connect" is unchecked.
I will appreciate any suggestions.

If you look at the f28075.gel file that your target configuration is (likely) using and look at the OnTargetConnect() call-back function that gets called when you connect to the target, you will see that GEL_Reset() is called on target connection unless the target is in real-time mode. The GEL_Reset() will trigger a halt regardless of the option you sen in the Program/Memory Load Options. To connect to the target without halting, I suggest enabling real-time mode BEFORE issuing the target connect:
This will prevent the GEL_Reset() from being called.

However, I managed to connect to the target without halting it by removing the call to the GEL_Reset() in the gel file.
Is there a way to connect without modifying the gel file?
