CCS/TM4C123GH6PM: Problem while Programming TM4C123GH6PZ

Part Number: TM4C123GH6PM

Tool/software: Code Composer Studio

1)I am facing the following errors while adding the example project in the workspace. The addition is successful only for blinky.

Error: Import failed for project " hello"  because its compiler definition is not available.

I have also tried re-installing it many times. Please solve this issue.

2) I am also facing the following error during compilation of the example codes

Error 1965: Can't open sourcefile "inc/tm4c123gh6pm.h"

  • Which version of CCS are you using and from which version of TivaWare are you importing the examples from?

The reason for this type of error and the way to resolve it is described in this page.

The project is missing a compiler include path to the main TivaWare installation folder. To resolve the error, you can go into the Project Properties->Build->Compiler->Include Options and under --include_options, click on the + sign and add a path to the root directory of TivaWare. However, this should normally not be required if the project is imported correctly, as the correct paths should already be set up in the project.

I would suggest installing the latest version of CCS v7.2 (available here) and the latest version of TivaWare (2.1.4.178) (available here) and then import the examples into a new workspace directory. Let us know if this helps resolve the issues.

  • CCS 6.0 is quite old, so as I indicated in my previous message, please install the latest version of CCS v7.2 and the latest version of TivaWare (2.1.4.178) and then import and build the examples in a new workspace directory.
