CCS/MSP430F2618: How to see sent Data on Code Composer

I want to connect MSP430F26148 to an Arduino Uno board with I2C. Is there a way to see the Byte I send to the MSP430 on code composer??? Like serial monitor on Arduino IDE.

Are you using Energia on the MSP430? The Energia framework is much like Arduino and if you do a Serial.println() it would send it to the serial port and you can view it in the terminal view in CCS.

I am using MSP430P2618 Olimex development board so I think Energia is not an option. Is there another way ???

Printf() would be an option but that is probably too heavy for the device. You could place a breakpoint in your code where you are receiving the data. CCS would then halt the MSP430 when the breakpoint is reached. You could then use the memory or expression views to inspect the value.
