Hi all,

Is it possible to dump the I2C slave address registers from the CCS via command line like scripting console or other way?

Hi Gokul,
What do you mean by "dump"? Are you just trying to read the value? or dump it to a file?

We would like to read all the value of the registers. via command line like scripting console, while the program is in execution .

If the register is memory mapped and defined in the xml file (it appears in the Register View), then you can use the Scripting Console to read it via something like:

js:> activeDS.memory.readRegister("<group>_<register>")

ex:

js:> activeDS.memory.readRegister("I2C1_I2C_SYSS")

But to be able to read it while the target is running, you need a device that supports some type of real-time mode/access. Otherwise the target must be halted.

Hi Ki,

It is not a memory mapped register. The device is connected via I2c line. We need to read /write slave registers set via command line .

How is the register normally accessed?
