CCS: CCSV7 nstall fails for msp430 processors and others

Tool/software: Code Composer Studio

Update broken so tried reinstall. Get same list of error messages. Window that offered to up load logs failed as well. Error box, text not cut an pasteable which is lamentable, is in attached file. Reboot and retry failed as well. Error box indicates that binaries are in c:/ti/ccsv7/installers. This directory is EMPTY I need to get this fixed or I have no support for my projects. Logs also attached before installerrror file

Deleted entire ccsv7 directory and tried a reinstall of latest install package, again. This worked

Frank,

Good to hear you got it working. Looking at the log it was odd. There is a verification step at the end and it was failing for a number of the features. Like something was corrupted during install.

I got the same problem here. It's not just his setup. First the update failed and after that I tried the full installer which also failed.

Olli,

I needed to completely remove the ti\ccsv7 directory and start clean. It then worked without any problem.

Sure, I wiped out the 38 thousand-odd files and now the installer is doing it's stuff. I just wanted to pipe in that this is not an isolated incident. I only have the MSP430 bits installed so the problem is present at least there. Ironically TI error reporting tool also failed with an error...
