CCS/TMS320C6657: SC_ERR_PATH_BROKEN with XDS100C3 and TMS320C6657

hi,

I'm trying to connect XDS100V3 to TMS320C6657, when I clicked test connection, it shows that:

Doed it mean that my DSP is broken?  Or my XDS100V3 is broken?

It botherd me for days, wish someone could help me.

    Hi,

    Are you sure you are using a XDS100v3 with your board? The reason of my question is because the C6657 EVM board comes with either a XDS100v1 (connector USB1) or a Mezzanine card with a XDS200 (connector J1 on a board on top of the main card).

    Also, in the same EVM, if you have the mezzanine card installed on it, you can't use the XDS100v1 but instead use the XDS200 and select the connection "Texas Instruments XDS2xx USB Onboard Debug Probe" in CCS.

    I you are indeed using a XDS100v3, then make sure the setting "The Converter usage" is set to use 1149.1, mimic XDS100v2.

    I tested  my XDS100v3 from Olimex with an adapter here and it worked fine.
