CCS/tms320f28335: Unable to install TI Compiler Update C2800 Compiler Tools 6.0.2

Tool/software: Code Composer Studio

I have installed Code Composer 5.5.0.00077 and am trying to install the 6.0.2 compiler. I need this version to debug an existing product created with this version. I am running Windows 7 64 bit. I get the error indicated in the attached word doc. Exiting and restarting Code Composer generates the second error. Any suggestions on how to fix this? Note: I already have Code Composer 6 with this compiler installed. That is why I'm installing in "c:\ticc5" instead of the default.

Hello,
I see that you have installed CCS inside the windows "Program Files (x86)" folder. This can cause issues with updating:
processors.wiki.ti.com/.../Using_CCS_with_Windows_Vista_and_7

I would recommend reinstalling outside the folder so you can update your environment more easily.

I installed CCS 5 in "c:\ticc5". The InstallJammer Registry logs are generated in the "Program Files (x86)" folder.

as my mistake. I did not properly read the attachment. It looks like some permissions issue. While we investigate, you can download and install the compiler separately to work around the issue:

Download C2000 6.0.2 from the below link:
software-dl.ti.com/.../download.htm

Once downloaded and installed, follow the instructions to have CCS "discover" it:
processors.wiki.ti.com/.../Compiler_Installation_and_Selection
