CCS/F28M36H33B2: Create a single CCS Project with 2 processor families

Hello,

(NOTE: Please ignore the part number as this question is related to a new device under development)

I am trying to create single CCS project with 2 processor families (ARM and C28). Intention is to have 2 Build Configurations - one for C28 and once for ARM which would pick the appropriate files / build settings etc to generate the .out.

I have tried several different ways but seems like "Family" tab in Create CCS project pop up gets frozen to 1 family.

Any thoughts?

Yes, you are correct. You will need to work with 2 separate projects in your described scenario.

Thanks Lee,

was kind of expecting that answer. can this be requested as s future CCS feature. Every Project setting in CCS is tied to Build Configuration (except family), unless there is a strong reason "Family" should also be Build Configuration dependent.

OR is there anything that I am missing.

Prashanth,
Your request is certainly a reasonable one. But because of the way the project system is designed, it will be a difficult one to implement. We will keep it in mind for the future however and perhaps it can be something we can add down the road.
