CCS/TMS320C6748: CCS - MATLAB Integration for run-time data analysis

Hi,

As a requirement, I need to analyze algorithm data in real time on MATLAB at different intermediate stages.

Is there any possible way to use any technique? I had knowledge about CCS v3 support with Embedded link toolbox of MATLAB. But on later versions I did'nt found any support for using MATLAB - CCS integration. Presently I was using CCS6.2 for development activities.

I request TI experts to help me out on this with possible inputs.

Is C6000 device supported for MATLAB integration not for code generation but for creating a PIL(Processor in Loop) setup?
I found some documents for C2000 using IDE Link. But whether the IDE link will support CCS v5 for data exchange and analysis(some sort of PIL setup).

Hi Shino,

We don't have any special support C6000 (like we do for C2000). You can still set up PIL for C6000, but will need to configure it yourself. We have alot of documentation links on how to setup PIL (login may be required):

The C6000 IDE integration worked for CCSv3.3 and had limited functionality for CCSv4 and CCSv5, but it was never ported to CCSv6. And we discontinued support for this workflow in Release R2016b, as it was still based on old CCSv3.3 IDE technology.

Thanks Brian,

I also interested to know any other possible ways to run C6000 target TI DSP from MATLAB using Blackhawk emulator. Something similar to the features possible with DSS scripting in CCS. If we can control debugging and data collection directly from TI devices using MATLAB API's, it will be useful for me.
