CCS/TMS320F2810: CCSv6 with XDS560v2 and C2000 breakpoints not working after latest update

Tool/software: Code Composer Studio

I'm using CCS version 6.1.2.00015. My installation is on a Mac running VMware, accessing a XDS560v2 over ethernet, and programming a TMS320F2810 based PCB. Everything was working well until an update installed automatically a few weeks ago, and now breakpoints are not working at all. Regardless of the type of breakpoint. The program compiles and loads into Flash no problem, and I can run and halt manually, but I can't halt using breakpoints. Clearly, a serious problem when debugging signal processing code.

Has anyone else seen this issue?

Hi Doug,

Do you breakpoints have a slash through it? When you open the Breakpoints view, is the "Skip All Breakpoints" button enabled?

Just curious - do you remember manually setting this yourself? I ask, because others have hit this issue also and they don't recall setting that option. I'm wondering if that option gets accidentally toggled somehow without the user knowing...

No, I for sure did not set this option. I actually didn't even know it existed. I'm pretty sure the older CCS versions I've used did not have it.
So yes, it's a little strange it came up by default - even stranger that it seems to have been activated by an update.
