xds560 for f2808

Hi all,

I am using xds560 emulator for f2808, since the f2808 board is self made, i have to set up ccs3.3 before using the emulator, where can i find the f2808 gel file for proper setup configuration?

    I installed the emulation driver, the f2808 xds560 emulator has appeared in the available factory boards column, but it cannot be added, how can i solve this problem?

    Unfortunately I don't know what would keep you from adding this config in your setup.  I am going to move this thread to the CCS forum so they can help.

    Can you provide some more details on the steps and where it fails?

    Bill,

    If you have CCS3.3 Platinum (not the DSK version that came with a eZdsp kit), you should update it to the latest service release (12) and the CCSetup configuration should be shown on the CCSetup drop down list (check the picture at the end of this post).

    Also, this Service Release already includes the F2808 GEL file.

    If you have the DSK version, then the use of an external emulator is not supported and you should purchase a license of 3.3 Platinum - you can also give CCSv4 a try and the 30-day evaluation license (renewable for an additional of 90 days) allows the use of your XDS560 emulator.

    Hi,

    The error detail is as follows:

    1.in the available factory boards column i select the f2808 xds560 emulator->add to system

    2.the display error is "cannot find f2808_xds560.ccs, error reading configuration file"

    3.I think there must be some error in the f2808 gel file or the xds560 emulator driver, can someone help?

    That file should exist in <CCS INSTALL DIR>\drivers\import. Could you check to see if it is there?
