CCS/TMS320F28379D: Where to start?

Hi,

I got my F28379D controlCARD and would like to use CCS to test the board. I've been using Simulink so far for C2000 MCUs and am pretty much confident that I can do almost everything with it but this is the first time I'm going to use CCS. Is there any simple project, like blinking LEDs to use with CCS on F28379D controlCARD?

Where can I get some basic tutorial on how to flash my card with CCS.

This workshop uses a different board and controlSUITE but in general the steps are the same. However use C2000Ware instead like Programmable Solution suggested.

I tried this simple example. I get these errors:

I guess it can't find the "F2837xD_device.h" file. :(

Are you using C2000Ware or controlSUITE? For C2000Ware I would suggest using the regular Resource Explorer vs Resource Explorer Classic. C2000Ware integrates with the new tool.

Open Resource Explorer.

Enter F28379D in the filter box at the top.

Browse C2000Ware to the Blinky example shown below

Click the Download button on the far right to download C2000Ware

When that is done click the CCS icon on the far right to import the example into CCS

Should build with no errors and just a warning. I am running CCSv7.2.0.

To me it looks like the variables in the include paths are not resolving.

If you go into the project options there should be include paths that look like this.

If you put your mouse over the ... on the second one it should resolve to something like this:

Thanks for your reply.

I followed your steps and built it without the problem. I even didn't have the warning. So in order to run the download it to the board, I need to go to debug, right? But when I click on it I get this pup-op:

I selected the XDS100V2 as the emulator and press the "Debug" and run the program. It works now!
