CCS/MSP430FG6426: difftime method value printing

Tool/software: Code Composer Studio

i have used difftime method to obtain difference between two timestamps.But i am not able to print that difference time obtained from that function in the console.What should i do to print the difftime() value.

Are you looking to print to the CCS console using something like printf()? If so, you can do that, but just bear in mind that C I/O routines like printf use a fair amount of memory that some MSP430 devices may not have the space for. An alternate option would be to route the standard output to UART interface.

Please note that difftime returns a double floating-point value, so you need to make sure that you are including <time.h>, that your printf statement uses the %f format, and that you have --printf_support=full on the compiler command line. This is in addition to the requirements outlined by Aarti.
