CCS/TMDSLCDK6748: CCS 7.3.0 fails to launch on Win 10

Part Number: TMDSLCDK6748

Tool/software: Code Composer Studio

I installed full CCS 7.3.0 on a fresh install install of Win 10; followed by install of Code Gen Tools; and C6SDK.  Now CCS fails to launch and gives an error in log file:

........!MESSAGE An error occurred while automatically activating bundle org.eclipse.core.resources (102)......

I have also XDS100v2 emulator USB cable, but the board is not powered on.

Please advise how to fix this issue CCS 7.3.0?

Thanks

Iqbal

    Just a few questions:

-Sounds like this was the first installation of CCS on this fresh Win 10 installation (there was not a previous version of CCS installed). Is that correct?

-When was the first time you ran CCS? Did you try before installing the code gen and SDK or was it after?

-Did you run into any issues during the installation (any errors/warning)?

-What path did you install CCS?

-What path is your workspace folder?

    Thanks

  • Hello Ki,

    - Yes, that is correct; there was no previous version of CCS.

    - I tried CCS before installing the code gen SDK, and it was coming up; then I tried after I had installed code gen, SDK,; then it started throwing errors, and never came up.

    - There were no issues, errors, warnings during installation

    - installed in default path; C:\ti

    - workspace folder is in  C:\users\iqbal

That is interesting. can you point me to the code gen and SDK you installed? Did you try cleaning your workspace folder or do you not even get to point where you are prompted for one?

    Thanks

  • I installed Code Gen Tools, ver 8.2.1 installer; and bios_c6sdk_02_00_00_00. I did get prompt for workspace; but after I select workspace, I was getting errors.

However, I did not clean up workspace before trying again.

Are you asking me to clean up work space (i.e. delete all files in C:\Users\Iqbal\workspace_v7); before attempting to launch CCS again?

    Please advise.

    Thanks

yes please. You can simply select a new (empty) workspace location when prompted.

    Thanks
