CCS/TMS320F28335: The problem about importing project with CCS of newer version

Part Number: TMS320F28335

Tool/software: Code Composer Studio

Hi, I just updated my computer assemblies and downloaded the newest version of CCS(CCS v7).

And I tried to import the project which I constructed with CCS v6, but when I Clicked File->Import->Code Composition Studio -> CCS project to try to import my old project, there is nothing i can select (like it couldn't detect the existence of the project.  )

And also i encountered a weird problem when I switched my workspace to my own folder :

That's weird to me caz I didn't run into these problems last time I changed my version of CCS.

Could anyone please give me some advice?

Thanks !!

I can't explain why this would happen without actually having the project and reproducing the issue.

Looks like something went wrong when the older workspace was being updated. My recommendation would be to open CCSv7 with a new workspace, have it install the discovered products that you wish to use and then try importing your project again. If that still does not work, please zip up and attach your project here so we can try to reproduce the behavior and investigate it further.

  • Since I haven’t heard back from you, I’m assuming you were able to resolve this issue and will be closing this thread. If the issue is not resolved, just post a reply below ( and include the project that demonstrates the problem), or create a new thread. Thanks!
