CCS/CC430F5137: CCS Debug Mode vs Free Run Mode Timer Issue

Hi guys,

I am working on a project that i use cc430. i have a problem when i using debug mode in code composer studio. The problem is happening that ways;

I am using MSP-FETFlash Emulation Tool and programming my device using ccs in debug mode. my device has a battery and FET's Target VCC is OFF. it's all okay. my timers are working without any problems.

After this time i pausing the device and going on with Free Run mode. i get wrong result from timers in Free Run Mode. There are NOT differents in codes. I am getting also same issue when i run device with using battery.

I am adding 2 photo of this issue. It shoud be 400us but i get 560us in Free Run Mode.

Hi Yasin,

When you mention "run with battery", is there no connection with CCS at all (FET not attached, etc)?

Dear Ki,

i am using 4 pin for programming the device. I can also programming without V_Power(FET's Vcc Tool Pin) using a switch(S1) but the battery should connect in this scenario. i can debug the device with battery. in this case the device connected to the FET only 3 pin(wire).
