Hi,

On running hello prj on TMDSLCDK138 board using XDS110 (Test connection succeeded) and Debug, while connection established the following error appears:

TI XDS110 USB Debug Probe_0/C674X_0

Error connecting to the target:
(Error -1180 @ 0x0)
Device is held in reset. Take the device out of
reset, and retry the operation.
(Emulation package 7.0.48.0)

I was trying to change configurations but none helps.

Itzhak,

I suspect you are running into the issue described in item 8 of the reference below:

http://software-dl.ti.com/ccs/esd/documents/ccsv7_debugging_jtag_connectivity_issues.html#troubleshooting-the-connect-phase

Just like before I still have to warn you: this debug probe is not designed to work with your device, thus instabilities should be expected - this could well be one of them.

Hi Rafael,

You might be right about XDS110, but that what I've got and just trying to make the best of that situation.

BTW are you suggest to replace it with XDS100?

I found a way to solve that debug error, manually, as follows:

Continue debug launch - Project properties or Run Debug Configurations->Debug->Launch Option->Continue debug launch if target connection or program load fails - Enable
Debug_starts - see attached print screen
Connect_ARM9 - see attached print screen
Modify_Expressions - see attached print screen
RUN_Load_Program - see attached print screen
C674X_DSP_Ready_after_Load_Program - see attached print screen
