CCS/PGA900EVM: Counting clock cycles in CCS

Hi.

I would like to count the clock cycles of two different functions in my project for the PGA900. I found this method on the CCS wiki, but I cannot enable the clock as the guide instructs. Whenever I choose Clock in the Run menu, all the menu items are grayed out.

I also tried this guide: Measuring Cycles on ARM Cortex Devices with Count Event, but my breakpoints menu does not have the 'Count Event' option as in the video.

Any hints as to what I might be doing wrong?

I'm using the XDS200 for debugging and my CCS is v. 6.1.1.

Hi Esben,
The video you referred to is demonstrating the event counter for a Cortex-M3. I'm not sure if either option (CCS profile clock or CCS event counter) is available with M0. I will need to consult with some experts and get back to you

Table 6.8. DWT register summary in the Cortex-M0 Debug register summary doesn't list the DWT_CYCCNT DWT Current PC Sampler Cycle Count Register. Therefore, don't think the cycle count option is available for a Cortex-M0 device.
