Dear,

I'm now using the AM335x PDK RTOS 4.00.00.04. As its compiler is the GNU 4.9.3(Linaro), what's this compiler's float precision when doing the float comparing?

Is volatile type used for huge structure, rather than int type, is there any reliability issue? I'm asking this question is because the C language usually supports volatile type only to int type, but not structure.

Type float uses 32-bit IEEE representation. Type double and long double uses 64-bit IEEE representation.

I'll have to get back to you on the volatile struct question.

The C language allows you to apply volatile to any object, including a struct type. If the compiler doesn't apply volatile semantics to that object, then the compiler is broken. I doubt there are any significant problems with volatile support in GCC, but of course I cannot guarantee it.

This is not clear, but even if it uses every bit for the comparisons, float comparisons for equality are always problematic:
