Hi. I sometimes get an internal exception: Loop buffer Exception Missed Stall exception. I am using cgtools 7.4.2, EZSDK 5.05.02.00 and ccs 5.4. I connect to the C6657 cores with JTAG when one of the cores fail and I see the internal exception in the RTOS Object View. I can debug the dsp cores and have a hardware breakpoint set when the exception occurs. I used the Trace Viewer to capture more information and I have tried cgtools 7.4.20 and get this same information in the Trace Viewer:
How can I further proceed to track down this exception? Do you have any suggestions on how to proceed?
I should mention that this exception doesn't always happen and is random. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Kim
I presume you know which source file contains the problem loop. Please create a test case for that source file as described in the article How to Submit a Compiler Test Case. Please identify the loop by adding the comment // PROBLEM LOOP HERE .
Thanks and regards,

This issue may be resolved with a later version of the 7.4 compiler. There were a couple of issues that look similar that were resolved with defect fixes in the compiler. Try C6000 compiler v7.4.22.
