CCS/CODECOMPOSER: CCS6 Fails on Start/Debug

Hi,

My customer's CCS 6.1.2 closes either when starting or during a debug session. He has tried looking through the forum and hasn't found anything that solves his issue. I'll attach his log file, and could you get back to me with a possible solution? I also plan on recommending he upgrade to CCS 7.3.

Besides upgrading the CCS version, please have the customer try cleaning his environment (workspace, metadata, cache) with the tips in the below links:

Hi Ki,

He said he already tried that page, looking through E2E, and has also tried re-installing CCS. I asked why he hasn't upgraded to CCS 7.3 and he said it's because he couldn't get it to work with his existing CCS projects. Did you take a look at the log file I sent you? Maybe if we can find a way to port the CCS 6 projects over to 7.3 it would be a solution for him.

I see an "out of memory" error which I was hoping a cleaning of his CCS environment would help resolve.

Can you provide the actual *.log file. The way the text is formatted in the Notes makes it a bit hard to read. You can send via private message (or e-mail me if you wish).

Also - please provide more details on his v6->v7 project migration issues.

This issue was handled off-line. For people following this thread, the customer was able to resolve the issue by reinstalling their CCS 6.1.2 installation from scratch. They did not take any additional updates and using the base installation. This seems to be working for them.
