CCS/CCSTUDIO: CCSv6 - Installing com.ti.ccstudio.debugserver.linux problem on Ubuntu 17.10

Part Number: CCSTUDIO

Tool/software: Code Composer Studio

Hi,

ti_dspack_ibsetup_6.2.1.1781_install.log

I'm having problems installing the Code Composer Studio V6 into Ubuntu v17.10. The installation stops when it tries to install the com.ti.ccstudio.debugserver.linux.

It follow attached the install.log file.

I tried to install the online and the offline versions but I have the same problem.

  • Unfortunately Ubuntu 17.10 introduces a compatibility issue with the InstallBuilder product that we use for our installers. The first release of CCS that will work on 17.10 is CCSv7.4 which will be released prior to the end of the year.

If you have to get it running on 17.10 really the only option would be to install on a different machine that has 17.04 or earlier and then copy it over to the 17.10 machine and run the driver installation script.

    Regards,
    John
