CCS/LAUNCHXL-F28069M: CCS/LAUNCHXL-F28069M

Part Number: LAUNCHXL-F28069M
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: MOTORWARE, , CONTROLSUITE, C2000WARE

Tool/software: Code Composer Studio

I bought the LAUNCHXL-F28069M.  I downloaded and installed Code Composer Studio, ControlSuite  and MotorWare.  I've updated several times.  When I fire up Resource Explorer inside of Code Composer Studio, there is no selection for this Launchpad Development Kit.  The F28069M device is selectable as a device, but not the Launchpad Development Kit.  I'm running Winodows 10.  I would appreciate any input anyone has.  Thanks!

  • John,

At this time the F28069M LaunchPad is not available as a top level filter in Resource Explorer.  It isn't that content is not present for the LaunchPad it is just that the content doesn't have all the tagging to associate it with the LaunchPad.  I can check with the C2000Ware team to see what the plans are there.  If you set the filter to the F28069M device the examples show up under C2000Ware.  However the files for the LaunchPad (schematic, pinout...) do not.  If you need to access those files I would not use the filter and would just browse to them.

Here is the device documentation and examples with the device filter set:

    Here are the LaunchPad materials:

C2000Ware is pretty new to being integrated with the new Resource Explorer (vs Resource Explorer Classic), so I would expect the integration to improve over time.

  • Thanks!  This answered my first question about the LAUNCHXL-F28069M.  I'm still not communicating with it over USB.  I've tried the Terminal window in CCS.  I've downloaded and tried PuTTY.  I've downloaded and tried RealTerm.  I've tried the Terminal window in Arduino, and a Terminal example application in Visual Studio.  Do you have any suggestions?  I've got access to an oscilloscope.  I plan on buying a booster pack to start some BLDC motor development, but not until I establish communication.  Thanks again for your help!

  • John,

The team in the C2000 forum would do a better job with the USB question. They could point you to the appropriate example and setup.

Maybe the SCI echoback example. It looks like it includes the information on how to configure hyperterminal.

    John
