CCS/TMS320C6678: compiler attribute for functions in RTSC package?

Hi, I am learning to create RTSC packages recently. So far I have a question: As the header file is generated by xdc, how can I add compiler attribute( like __attribute__((xxx)) ) to function declaration if I need to?

Hi,

You can supply a <module>_epilogue.h and <module>_prologue.h file yourself. You need to add @CustomHeader into the .xdc file. You can look at the xdc/runtime/Log module as an example.

Thank you for the reply. And I guess I have to prevent those function declarations with attributes to be written into .xdc file as interface declarations, so that xdc won't generate the codes with attributes collisions. Am I correct?

The prologue and epilogue are included in the generated <Module>.h. So you can put the pragma in the prologue and then the normal declaration can still be in the generated header.

so I guess I have to use the pragma version, but not the __attribute__ version.

You can also cheat a little bit and use @Macro attribute - rtsc.eclipse.org/.../XDCspec_-_@Macro. Then, in Mod_epilogue.h you can declare the function any way you want. But, __attribute__ is compiler specific and you are restricting your module usage only to compiler that recognize it.
